you know what i've learned talking to atheists? they're going to find every excuse in the world not to believe in God or the bible because the fact of the matter is, in their hearts, they really don't want to. and you can't make someone do something they don't want to do. they'll try to come up with stupid socalled contradictions in the bible, and ignore every truth and explanation, so i'm not going to sit here and try to convince someone that there is a God and that denying the bible is denying God's ability to keep his word unharmed as he said he would, thus calling him a liar. I know what God has in store for them will be carried out and all I can do is pray that they accept the truth. I truly feel sorry for people like them because there's going to be a time when Jesus is going to judge, no more forgiveness or chance for acceptance because you had that opportunity countless of times and you did not want to accept it. At this time, you're going to beg him for mercy and he's going to look at you like a stranger because you never took up the opportunity to know him, and I'm not judging, this is in the bible. During my life, I've seen things. If you think science has the answer for everything then hell, you're the nieve and stupid one, not the people that place their faith soley on God and his word. How do you explain voodo or black magic as it is called? If I were to go into detail and tell you the supernaturually amazing and scary things I've seen with people using black magic, you probably wouldn't even believe me. I've seen things like people who were suppose to be **** all of sudden get up and walk (zombies , or human bodies taken over by evil spirits) how do you explain that? I'm not trying to freak anyone out, and I don't practice this stuff, it scares the sh*t out of me, but I've seen it. And all of that is nothing but evil. If there are evil things that science can't explain, then there must be a God for everything has an opposite. With good comes evil. So basically it's all up to you to trust God. And if I were you I'd do it soon, because the time might be almost up for either you, or this world we're living in.

^^^Interesting point of view.....But, I was just playing "the devil's advocate". I think David was really looking for someone whom he could have an intellectual debate with....not people trying to preach him a sermon (no offense to anyone, but that's what it seems the majority of the people who replied were doing). Besides, history and any religion (not just Christianity) go hand-in-hand. Again, not to come off as rude or offensive, but I was wondering: what do you mean by the comment "who hurt you"? I don't think that people who don't necessarily believe in the things you believe in, the way you belive in them means they were in any way hurt. Also, the word Faith means "the belief in, devotion to, or trust in somebody or something, especially without logical proof" (not "the evidence of things not seen"; no evidence exists for the things that we cannot somehow see--whether it can be see with the **** eye, a super-powered microscope, a satellite, or things of that nature...the only thing close to evidence we have for the unseen is theory=belief). You also say "don't look to man, turn to the one who gave you the word." However, for the most part, man is giving the word (both written and spoken it seems). Gee......I can't wait untill they turn on my internet in my room. I hate going to the library to surf the web
I just read your post and I have to say not everything you said was truth although there might have been changes in translations of the bible the general purpose of the teaches of Christ and God's law is clearly edvident. You can't also forget that to believe in God you have to have faith in Christ and God too. Also Eve was Adam's wife not Mary. It seem to me you should do alittle more read. Take care God Bless
