yea ive had micros 3times im getting them again when i start my freshman year. i had a professional african briad em an i kept them up by washing them and keeping them oiled. never pull them too tight the first few weeks and get your hair treated by your salon when you take them out. DONT KEEP THEM IN TOO LONG, ALWAYS WASH & **** THEM. they r really nice to have but they do take a very long time to put in, my last one took 10hrs cuz i had the acutal micro invisiable braids...whew! oh and they DID NOT break my hair off. i have very nice length off hair...tips -look better when the roots match your hair color so when new growth comes it doesnt look to bad -dont get em right after a fresh perm, they will slip easily. -tie them down whenever you sleep to prvent fuzziness!
Cosign... but with the perm part, I had just got a perm a few days before I got these braids and they have lasted longer than when I do not have a perm. But then again I have the wavy braids. The wavy hair is thicker and less likely to slip out. I am taking them out this Friday cause I miss my hair and it needs a rest. You are right about the treatment after you take them out, most people don't think about this. I get my hair deep conditioned and pressed out after I've had braids. Then I'll wait a month to either get more braids or a perm. The hair color-roots thing is SO true too 8)

I've had micros at least 5 times and you can do alot of hairstyles with them and can wash your hair while they are in there.

I just took my braids out and my hair tends to grow when I get it braided so..it did. I pulled one braid out so naturally my hair came out with it....dont do that. But yeah, wash em. If they're done right they shouldnt fall out. I went swimming a million times with em and didnt lose one. I love braids cuz I dont like to comb my hair anyway buuuutttt looks like I wont be getting braids again anytime soon cuz the barber decided I didnt need hair...period. All I asked him to do is shape up ma dam fro and.....my bad, I digress. Still a little bitter behind that....
THE BARBER CUT YOUR HAIR OFF?!?!

i live by micros i say that if you want them try them but be warned that tey are not for everyone. I like them beacuse they are easy to maintain and they make my hair grow. I've had micros for like the last 7 years. I get a perm a week and a hlaf later i get braids(6hrs) Wash them every week and half but with a stocking cap and braid shampoo. I make sure to blow dry them and sit under a dryer. I use only carrot **** and shea butter on my scalp and **** sheen on the braids. I get a retouch every month around the edges and i don't pull on the edges very often. I try to wear different styles everyday so tha my hai isn't pulled into one position all the time. I like micros because htey are very vesatile and easy to keep . I think that the type of hair that you use alos helps. Usually i have mine braided althe way down to the ends and let them unravel by themselves. Now thatey only become a nuicance when its time to take themout because it usually takes the same amount of time that it took to put them in to get them out. Have fun Hope this helps
