Are there any AKA's here Posted on 01-18-2003
In Rod We Trust

Hello my name is Pink and I wanted to know what to do if there arent any aka's at your school. Well I attend Lincoln Univ in Pennslyvania and the chapter here is the Epsilon Nu chapter but all the aka's graduated and there are alot of educated females interested in this organization that started all the other ones so what should me and the other female students do to get them back.

:? I have seriously been thinking about joining a sorority for awhile, but I'm still having second thoughts. I heard about the drowning with the AKA's but I went to Delta's website and saw a listing of all the chapters that had been punished for whatever reason and sometimes even closed. They both have non tolerance for hazing so I don't think it's fair to say that for the entire sorority to get blamed because it might just be specific chapters that do it. I think it could be a positive experience. Is the whole initiation process anything like MTV or is it completley different???

depends...but from the info that I know black greek orgs are totally different in many ways from white orgs. Things are also different between organizations and chapters. So it depends on what school you go to and what org ur interested in.

I believe you would have to get in contact with a grad chapter in the area...check and see if they aren't suspended from the university first though.

you all are missing something: Alpha women are born, not made. If you having second thoughts i feel bad for you hon! Maybe you aren't fit to be a woman of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated.
