ummm hmmm..... youre right not 50/50. 100/100 is what is should be. Each person has to put there all into it. And in todays marriage, i don't see that. It's usually the woman who gives her all while the husband does nothing to help. If i want him to cook why not do it?? Its what makes me happy...Im gonna do the same for him of course. Another thing...It's all about convience as well. No one has to be in front of the stove cooking all day. Those days are way behind us. Just like men don't have to go hunt for food, and have the women prepare it. And if it is still that way , how come women are the ones who goes to the store?!? I don't know, im not very traditional.

^^^ I agree with you. I think it's cute when two people put effort into cooking a family meal togeather. I mean if my man is busy and comes in late, I am deffinitely willing to cook, I love cookin and I'm good at it  But I wont do it all the time like I'm some maid. :???:

Women like should be shoppin just like they should be bringin me my house shoes and dinner everyday after work..... j/p :-D Just playin but I know this one couple that actually shops together. I think thats cool. But I think the woman shops most of the time because they tend to cook often. If the man cooks more you probaly see them in the store more. I often see guys in the store w/ their women shopping, so as I think about it thats not really too rare.

Oh please...If my husband thought like that, he'd be eating grass and the stuff that makes it grow. "Just playin but I know this one couple that actually shops together." And they should do some things together. It's actually fun having that other person help out with things. Besides, everything else takes two...if you get my drift.

Hmm.... I would definitely need my wife to go shopping with me, or at least give me a list... I buy way too much stuff on impulse, mostly because I'm always hungry and I shop with my stomach. But yeah, I'm definitely down with the tag team idea.

Ever since i can remember the females in my family have ALWAYS catered to their men...especially when it comes to cooking....if my aunts boyfriend wants some cookies at 3am she is up making them...same with my mother..i guess since that was what i was taught at an early age...thats just how it is. the old fashion way. I couldn't picture my man or husband in the kitchen making anything..not even a sandwich..it just doesn't seem right to me :???: MEN DONT BELONG IN THE KITCHEN PERIOD..just like women don't belong in the driveway under the hood of the car 8-)
I NEED TO FIND A WOMAN LIKE THAT TO MARRY. I actually don't have no problem w/ doin it. I watch my mother do it all the time and anytime she tired I can and will cook for myself (or others). But like rese said, generally if you handlin yo biness in all the other areas that you suposed to be handlin as a man then whats wrong with a woman handlin her biness in the kitchen? I also feel brwnbell about takin care of her kids when they young. Thats just a woman handlin the biness right there. But overall I definitely wouldnt EVER have my wife takin out the garbage or cuttin the grass. Besides....thats what kids are for :-D j/p
Lord, these old fasion folks...but do you.
I wouldnt say old fashion thats not the case. I would cook but why wouldnt my wife want to cook? When people get married I would believe that they have some types of expectations for each other. The wife expect SOMETHIN out of the husband around the house and in turn the husband expects somethin around the house of the husband. The marriage shouldn be 50/50 it should be what satisfies both parties and I doubt a woman that works all day and expects the male to do EVERYTHING (cleanin, cookin, and yard work) would be havin any kinda consideration. That works out both ways for husband of wife tho. It just all makes perfect sense to me. I'm sure alot more complicated when done but thats a blueprint.
i couldnt have said it better myself papi!! 8)
