AKA'S AND OMEGAS Posted on 06-04-2004
sexyazzfemale24

IS IT JUST ME OR DOES IT SEEM LIKE A LOT OF AKA'S EITHER DATE OR MARRY AND OMEGA. WHEN I WAS IN SCHOOL, THERE WERE A LOT OF OMEGAS AND AKA'S DATING AND SOME EVENTUALLY GOT MARRIED. EVEN HERE IN MY HOMETOWN, I SEE A LOT OF FRONT CAR TAGS WITH THE AKA/OMEGA SIGNS ON THEM. WHAT'S UP WITH THAT?

The relationships between bruhs and sorors usually depends on the campus....Ive probably only know one AKA/OMEGA couple so it may just be the THING to do on your campus.
First, Soror, I love the shoe and the avatar. I don't think it's as deep as you all make it sound. If you date someone and they happen to be an Omega/Kappa/Sigma/Alpha, it shouldn't matter. It just so happened that my boyfriend/fiancee is an Alpha. We don't plan to get an Alpha/AKA tag made. Hell, we rarely wear 'nalia at the same time. 8)

Hey, I'm engaged as well but my lifemate is not Greek. I just don't get into "just because i'm an AKA I have to have an Alpha(or any other organization) thing." I'm not saying that this is your case but i do know people who only date members of certain organizations. OH AND CONGRATS ON YOUR ENGAGEMENT!! Have you decided on a date yet? My sister told me that I should wait until 08 but thats just too far away. :-D

Shallow... Ouch. Felt that one from here! But it should never be that serious where you only date other greeks. Infact...that's pretty sad.
