I depise that. Being Black is like the coolest thing in the world. Why people deny it??? It's so fun being us.
Here's my opinion:
Denying being Black is nothing new. I think it began about 400 years by our oppressors. They made our ancestors believe that Black is evil, terrible, wrong, unattractive, etc. Everything from our beautiful **** hair, voluptuous lips, and more, was scrutinized and looked down upon. Therefore, they began to hate everything Black, and sadly it was passed from one generation to another. Some (like Jennifer Beal) even deny their Blackness (esp. if they wanted to be accepted by mainstream America) if they were extremely light skinned. Some, like Tiger Woods, were taught to hate their Blackness. I don't wanna get too into it, but I hope you get the point I'm trying to make. :-D

^^^Yea yea..Angelina aint black but her baby girl Zahara is so I decided to put them on here.^^^Yay..I found a pic of the whole fam this time. I somewhat agree with Brett. More deny their whiteness than deny their blackness, I will tell you that. But then everyone screams travesty if a mixed person happens to be whitewash. You don't need to be all in the culture to be enveloped with your blackness.
