Each day I am going to list one of Robert Green's 48 Laws Of Power.
I'd like to hear your personal experiences related to THIS law where you were the one observing the law in action, utilizing the law or the one on the other end.
Today let's look at:
Law One - NEVER OUTSHINE THE MASTER
Always make those above you feel comfortable in their sense of superiority. In your desire to please or impress them do not go too far in displaying your talents or you might accomplish the opposite - inspire fear and insecurity. Make them appear more brilliant than they are - and you will attain the heights of power.
I dont think I could ever do this........
I'm the type that if someone that is over me in a work enviroment and they dont know Sh*t.........Ima make them look dumb.......
Always been that way........with anyone other than my family and those I truly respect......

Hopefully you will own your own business one day.
If you do move from retail to an office job, sometimes when a person to whom you report feels that you are trying to "outdo" them they will label you as someone who is not a Team Player.
This label is more often than not the beginning of the end to employment with some companies.
