Too bad I don't talk to the guy I wrote the poem to anymore. I mean we still talk but its not the same...I still love him, but he's too messed up from his past relationships to give me what I want and need in a relationship. So....hey...you can't win them all. We are separating ourselves from each other so all my yearnings and wantings for him are dwindling. I still love him, but I am not going to be waiting around forever.

You gazed into my eyes and told me you love me Said you would place no girl above me But now you say you can't be mine I'm starting to feel this is a waste of my time You know I still love you and you love me But you won't let you and I be what we were meant to be You say you hear people are starting to talk You want our love for each other to be in the dark But the hiding seems useless Because those people are ruthless They can give a damn about you and me But your popularity is all you can see I'm done fighting with your heart These battles have torn me apart I offered my heart and you turned me away So without your love I'll have to stay I'll walk the way of the heartbroken My love for you will no longer be spoken
