whew...
its kinda nerve wracking. 2008 is going to be a big year. He looks likes he's aware and concerned of the task that he's about to undertake... somewhat nervous too.
Yea he sure did! I mean to know that you might likely be getting shot at and assassination attempts, and history, and giving up senate seat, and effects on his family. My question is, since he is mixed, does he have Tiger Woods syndrome or does he know where he stands? I figure since he has what appears to be a strong black woman by his side, he probably knows whats up.

Well, I think that he may be okay. Esp. seeing as how the most hated president has not had any assassination attempts on his life. So, Obama may be in the clear in that aspect. As far as TWS is concerned, I think that it is nonexistent in this case. The man has a black wife, who still has her job, and seems to be proud of it along with both sides of his heritage.
Well I was listening to NPR this morning and Hilary would not even hint to whether she would run or not. She has about 14 mil saved from her senate run. They said Obama has about 4 mil saved. Those are the two greatest fundraisers that are possibles, but she's got the funding headstart. 50-100 mil will be spend for the seat. They got a lot of work ahead...
I would consider Hilary, but she's got a lot of baggage. Well, let's say I would consider her based on who else is on the ticket. I don't know a whole lot about Obama's plans behind this "new politics" but I'm interested enough to get into politics this go round and find out. I like his surface standpoints, but I'm curious is it idealistic or backed with well thought-out strategy.
Well yea. Another important thing would be who is the "dream team" that Obama would have in his cabinet... I mean, at least Bush has Condi Rice. She's impressed everyone with her wit and skills (except going along with this whole WMD campaign in Iraq)... So who will Obama have on his team? Who is the republican leading pick at this point?
I guess its official now, she said "She's in and she's in to win". Less than a week ago Clinton wouldn't even hint to the possibility. So it bothers me a little to be faced with the reality of the way the media sometimes views Black Americans in watching what they say or do, very unintentionally, as Obama prepares for a go at the Presidency and the media eats up the fact that he and Clinton are possibles. For instance, this morning a local station interviewed a Black actor who "played" president for insight on the election. OK, so a Black has never held the seat, could not a Black Senator or other politician of color have done an insightful interview about the upcoming campaign? I listened to several minutes of talk about how different Blacks have "played" president on TV, who did well, sound bites, the whole nine. It just seemed a bit shallow of a news peg for the morning show. I don't think it was a matter of trying to belittle the run, it was just a way of thinking. Then there are the cartoons. Adding his to the other presidential statues with a cute peg from Hillary, fine, but giving him monkey looking attributes. Actually several of the political cartoons are distasteful. But, in part, that's politics. Will we tend to be more sensitive that it's a Black candidate or that it's a woman running when candidates routinely get beat up and ridiculed across the board?
