Welcome to the yard... glad to see you're planning ahead! You might want to check out the HBCU Prospects forum, which is specifically for HS students. There's some good posts recommending different schools. Have you thought about what you want your major to be?

so close your eyes and pick one.... Or study one and do the other as a hobby till you pin down which you love and which you like on the surface.

thanks i think if i were to close my eyes and pick it would make it a little easier. @ the same time though i have narrowed it downed to spelman or ucla...i heard howard is hard to get into but maybe i can get a scholorship...... (cant spell today) thanks again

lol, you guys are right, I'm oversimplifying... I just mean when its all said and done, whatever choice you make, there will be some positives and there will more than likely be some things to overcome. Definately get the input! Gotta narrow it down. I don't have a lot of experience with that part. But when you get in the door, there is no bad choice, if its a toss up between UCLA and Howard when all of the votes are in, just pick one, have the right attitude and You make it the experience of a lifetime. What about that?
