some old stuf i wrote in HS inspired by We Wear the Mask by Paul Laurence Dunbar... I wrote this 15 min before class but it turned out to be one of my favorite. I WEAR A MASK Wattup kid... Do you think you know me Is their more to this man than what u really see cus I have a burden that i have no choice to wear because folks like you look at me and choose to refuse to look beyond whats actually there beyond the skin a look at whats really within a strong saint on the outside but a broken man dealing with past sins a fallen angel whose only dream was to ascend to attain elevation and to reach up to the heavens but FELL BACK TO EARTH and decided just to blend in and try on my different mask day by day... again and again but kudos to me i guess after all it was a good front all i do is put them on and let you think what you want but i was TOO GOOD now that i sit here in deep introspection cus now i wonder why I'm looking in a mirror talking to a stranger in its reflection... -FableOner aka MonkRenny Thoughts? (none of that e-fingersnappin business lol, i'd like input... PLEEEEASE  ) oh yeah i forgot to add the reason I wrote this poem... i wrote it 3 yrs. ago right before my African Lit. class my senior year. In the class was the bulk of what was then the upper crust of the senior class and they used to irk the hell out of me because they were so phony... This poem was really about them was inspired by my observation of them htrought the year andhow they affected me.

I read the beginning and the last few lines...the last few lines were great...made sense after I read what inspired you to write the poem.
