My first day at Tuskegee was a mess. I had to take the greyhound all the way from Milwaukee, Wisconsin because my parents couldn't make it b4 ban camp. So I ended up on the longest bus ride ever. When I got to Tuskegee I found out that the bus station lost my luggage. So here I was thousands of miles away from home with only a suitcase of shoes and the clothes on my back. So I go to the band cottage and my band director assures me he will get my luggage. I had to borrow some work out clothes b/c band camp started that night. BAnd camp was rough and my body aches SOOOOOOO band. I had to go to Walmart that night and buy underware and personals. I also bought a couple work out fits. I couldn't sleep at first b/c it felt strange being in a new place. But soon I was sleep b/c I had a rough day and yet another one the next day. I did get my luggage the nxt day.

hmmm...i dunno...it's all a blur lol DC in the summertime, so it was humid, I was in a dorm with NO air conditioning...so my mother and I were sweating like heathens trying to get all of my boxes and luggage in, once i finally did have all of my stuff in I had to move it all over again to an entirely different floor becuz some random girl and her "bestfriend" decided they wanted to live together and asked me to switch rooms (I didn't want beef on my 1st day, so I did it), and my mother and I kept getting the run around on where to go for registration so we were walkin around campus looking like some lost tourist. ...all I know is by the end of that day, I was ready for a vacation already

My first day on campus was great once I got there. Before I left home me and my father had gotten into it... over what? I don't know lol. But I got there a little bit earlier then my check in time but they gave me my key and things anyway so I got to avoid some of the rush. My parents helped me to get all my boxes and thing up the my room (4th floor) and then they left so that I could set my room up how I wanted to. I did that pretty much the whole day.

I still remember showing up at HU the morning of my 18th birthday (August 9, yes, early because I was there for preseason band camp) Rolling up in front of the Convo in a van with everything I owned in the back and checking in. Then off to Wilder Hall for my room. I was the first one in the room, waited that evening for a roommate to show up, but he never did. The upperclassmen considered this extrordinarily lucky, but I honestly would have rather had someone to chill with. That evening, auditions and a welcome meeting, then tomorrow all Hell was gonna break loose, from what everyone was telling me. Showing up at 7:30 on the practice field in my white tee & hoopin shorts, then the next 2 weeks was a blur of doing more pushups and left leg ups than I could count, late night practices & sectionals, and marching in 90 degree heat which we all managed to get used to. Marching my freshman year meant missing most of the orientation stuff, but it was probably the best time I spent at HIU.

Well I felt the same way... I waited for my roommate to show up (the one that was supposed to be in here) so that I could have someone to talk to and chill with. In the middle of September I came back to my room from class and this girl was moving in (not the one that was assigned to my room I don't know where she is ) But the one that moved in here I rather she hadn't LOL we do not even talk... We used to until she started stealing my personal things but I would have rather kept my room to myself.

first DAY or first day of CLASS? my first DAY was August 9th 2005. Band camp at Jackson State University. It was 92 degrees outside, at 5 oclock in the evening, and we played instruments until eleven pm. my first day of CLASS, it was ALSO 92 degrees outside, and while i was finishing registering in the general purpose room of the student union, someone got shot in the bookstore downstairs. I see a mad rush to the elevator, so i go out the back stairs, only to find myself face to face with the **** as the police twist his hands behind his back and knock him against the wall. Welcome to JSU.

First day on the yard It was hilarious looking back. I accidentally called 911 trying to call my moms' cell. I forgot something in her van after she dropped me off so I called her cell from the dorm, 991-1876. And the lady said, "911 what's your emergency?!" So I hung up and tried about 2 more times, same results. lol So I go to my RA and he tells me that we have to dial 9 first to get off campus. I get back to my room and the phone rings, it's the EMS folk, my RA explained the mistake and it was cool......until we looked out the window and saw 2 fire engines in front of the dorm! My moms has since changed her number.

First Day. I don't remember. I can remember like the day b4 the first day when we were all outside chillin in front of the library. There was a spades game going on and everyone was just talkin about what their schedule looked like. That was the night my future b/f and I found out we had the same teacher for Bio lol. I got his number the next day so he could be my study partner. That was 3 years ago, and we are still happily together
