Just wanted to say hello to everyone. I'm very new to this community and did not graduate from an HBCU. However, I'm a big supporter being that I am an African American high school educator in Colorado. Kids from a variety of backgrounds have certain needs in education. HBCU serves an ever growing segment of our population and I'm all for that!
It's an honor to have you. We've worked with schools to get information out about HBCUs. Some of our children don't realize college is an option for them until someone takes the time to tell them. Many times that someone is not a mom or dad or even someone in the family, but an educator like yourself. Thanks for being a part of our growing community! Welcome to the site.
