This topic is to expose the truths about our current mindsets....I really want to know if we had a revolution or something, as simple as storming the administration building at your school, would you do it....I attend Howard U if you dont know by now and many people talk a good game with their Afrocentric garb and t-shirts but when it really comes down to it how many people are willing to die for the cause or do you think the passion has died in our community......Let me know are you still down *This is in reference to the black Tuesday march to the supreme court for affirmative action. Many people marched but fewer people stayed to protest...what does that say?

"The revolution is a process, not an event. No steps taken can go unnoticed. It proceeds painfully, slowly. To destroy and rebuild is not accomplished in a few generations. It is a dynamic and continuing struggle. Our revolutionary responsibility is to let every word, every act, political and personal, be fillled with a meaning that adds to the revolutionary process. -- Nana Akua Afriye

well......you KNOW the Revolutionary of the boards had to come and say something about this topic...... Me....I am a gangsta fa sho. However, one things a true revolution needs is a cause, and organization. Storming in on something is cool for show, but after the storm then what?? Where does it go from there?? I think before we as a people can do a "revolution" we need to have a revolution of the mind, because we think backwards. As a student of pyschology, I come to find out that the mind is more powerful than most people think. If you control someones mind, you control them. Right now, the white folk have got us hypnotized and they got so many of us in a trance, we don't even know we are sleep; they ain't gonna wake us up either, it is up to us to get out of it, and get back into the game. Because we is ( i know how you like the way I speak **** right?? Bill Cosby, holla at me!) definitely losing the race. And as far as Affirmative Action goes, I say we need to kick it to the curb. We should focus on our primary schooling, that way our children will be prepared for school and our grades and acheivements will get us in instead of black points. check the siggy and respect it! RBGs......STAND UP!!!!!

The sad thing is today we don't even think there is a need for a revolution and if you even mentioned it you would probably be looked at like an idiot. I think that is one of the major downfalls in our community we are CONTEMPT with the lowly state that we are in. We are at the bottom in everything, we are looked down upon by everybody, but for some odd (actually not so odd at all) reason we are just fine with our current state in society. As of now I am sad to say until something changes the revolution is ****. WE NEED BLACK LEADERS!!!!!

Just imagine if ALL THE RAPPERS got together and started a new aged civil rights movements. Each rapper bringing their fanbase to the steps of the capitol building!! All the energy would be channeled to racism and injustice.... it wont be possible because all they want is money and to be so-called GANGSTA! White man says: take a black boy out the classroom and **** away is book ...then give him a mic and watch him become a crook.
