I think it’s important for our black Americans to really rebuild our community economically and socially. Some of us need to move from the lower class to the middle or upper class. Being at a certain standard level in life should motivate some and others to want exceed higher in there community. Economically we as minority should have a special characteristics which dignifies who we are and were wee stand far as it concerning our economics. By black Americans supporting each others in the fight of excelling in businesses, corporation, and varieties of competitive company, it would say a lot about African American stepping up and take charge of what they believe. As a black community, I believe there is a lot of goals and ambition we as a community possess. Knowing our past and present shows different era of times means that things have changed over the years. Our leaders and politicians fighters fought for us to have what we’ve got now, but the present show somewhat very little different type of fight in us today. As a community we should have better elegance, more self sufficient about us as a community and not being belligerent about things, this can mean we as a whole can do as the past has done for us. Far as us connecting the fragmentation that has divide us, we can repair some things that are real striking and cost relevant to us. It will probably take some one who’s very important or some one who is trying to change the world to depart for something to happen fro our black community. The way our black community can grow and thrive is by creating more centers for young and elderly people to have. By build this projects around the community says that the community as a whole is moving forward. The after-school programs help our hard working parents out, knowing they know where there child/children are located. Keeping our teens out of trouble means that the black communities care to up brings leaders for the future. Where there is a safe place for our people to attend says we have a future promises area of being productive. We see community having there own to return to help uplift there community to become better than before. As far as having access to operate certain technology to allow the communities to stay inform on projects or activities stand for a meaningful community area. Through this websites teens and business leaders have establish a well built communication system that anyone can join to reconnect to old and new friends and understanding more about diversity. It also assists us in building our social networking skills. It helps us to understand how to interact with people through this system where we meet different individual on a day to day basis, base on their profile. We are accustomed to the aid that establishes to meet others and build more connections to bring more to the community.

It is not only the government of a particular country that makes a country great but rather it is the citizens of that country that takes the award for building that great nation. America is considered to be a great nation because of the proud citizens of the United States who call themselves Americans. It is natural for one to conform to the norms of the society in which they live in because their livelihood depends on it. Although some people may feel no real sense of obligation to their social gatherings, others believe it is their duty to protect and preserve their communities for the next generation. In the United States some people have to earn wages in order to eat, whereas in other countries people can live off the food from the soil without necessarily having to work for that meal. I wish I did not have to work just to eat, but I do it because it seems to be the only way to ensure my survival. Light cannot shine without all the science and all the components that make it shine. Therefore, a community cannot prosper if their citizens continue to be disinterested in its development. Life is what we make of it and without togetherness life cannot shine, for it is the joining hands of the people that bring forth the light. One cannot build a community without the coming together of the people. One can be assured that the community will shine because A wise man once said that the whole strength of the community should be enlisted for the protection of the person and property of each consistent member, in such a way that each, when united to his fellows renders obedience to his own will, and remains as free as he was before. As citizens and as parents, people should be aware of their duty to themselves and their families. To make their communities as safe as possible, not only for themselzes but their children, and their neighbor's children. Ultimatley it will be in the best interest of every community member to band together, to ensure a better and safer community. For example; if I live in a crime stricken neighborhood where someone is getting **** every week, it would be easier to say I will leave that neighborhood and seek a safer one. However, I can only run so far, and so often. I will ultimately have to stop and fulfill my own obligations as a member of that community and as a mother in order to keep my neighborhood safe for my children. I am also aware that in many instances I have to give something to earn anything, however it is the amount of myself I am expected to give that makes me question the effectiveness of sovereignty. My obligated choices as a citizen and those to myself; does not give me many options to choose from; because if I have to make the choice of staying in that crime ridden community or the choice of leaving for a better community, I would choose the latter, rather than banding together with the community to find a solution to the problem. Although I feel that my obligation and duty to myself far outweigh my duty and obligation to my community and my government, there is a level of equal standings among the two. I will have very little peace of mind in that community knowing that I could get **** the next time I walk out my door, so in order to alleviate my fear, I must get involved to bring forth a solution. I would rather not have to pay taxes but instead pocket all my money in order for me to live off on it after I retire; but I do it because it aides in some great causes. I would rather not put a dime in the collection plate at church on Sundays, because I have a child to feed, but I do it because I feel a sense of duty to the development of my church wich **** my community. Although I sometimes I believe that to each his own, and every man for themselves, I have to stop to think of my support system and where it lies. In my time of need I must call on someone or something and who will I call if I have not made my existence in the community known? As a citizen, some people may argue that they do not have a duty to their communities or country; and it is not their duty as a citizen to make their country a better nation. Now if this was so, how would America be the America we know and love today, because as a citizen it is my duty and responsibility to make my community the best place for me and my children to live in. However, as a citizen I don't believe I am required to put my country in the spot light, though I have that same duty to my community. Respectfully Fifee. Boston MA

I am a young African American male who has lived and is still watching the decline of one of the world’s most powerful cultures. We have so many inventions, types of music, vast knowledge, and so many unheard of accomplishments that it isn’t even funny and yet we are still looked upon as inferior beings to some. We as a race has truly transcended from suffering a more then two hundred year depression and oppression. Over the past thirty years our black cultures has taken a dramatic u-turn and has plunged into an age of killing each other, degrading our women and focus more on getting paid and getting laid then obtaining knowledge. If our civil leaders and freedom fighters who gave there lives for the cause saw us would shame them beyond believe, if there not already turning over in there graves. Right now it looks like the efforts of our fore fathers were in vain. At least when they were slaves they stuck together. The main problem is that no one wants to stick together or listen to each other any more. In such hard times we are at each over throats when there are much bigger problems at there we need to face together. With all the wars about fortification, religion, unpredictable weather, and corrupt governments we’d rather start disputes over the most childish of things and it eventually escalate to you being murdered. In my city I saw two men **** each other over a shoe and in one case over two dollars. This is ridiculous for us to behave like this, were not animals just misguided. I’m not just addressing the men but the women as well, because there is more out there then just doing hair, endless fortification without condoms and over exposing there bodies. We have to read not just to increase our vocabulary, but also to stay one step ahead of everyone else. We can prove everyone wrong with our knowledge since we’re expected to be ****. We must prove it not only to others but to ourselves. My people we can regain our glory there is plenty of time as long as we revive the word family and its true meaning. We can rise from the catacombs of society by coming to together and helping each other out. One way we can start reconnecting fragments that have been broken is by stop calling ourselves the N word, which has been a weapon of our oppression in the first place. Another problem is self control, instead of being assertive and just dropping the issue we rather show open aggression and react either with verbal **** or physical either way it becomes violet and unnecessary. Why are we all looking and waiting for some powerful leader to lead us into a new age when we need to lead ourselves together. One man/women can make a difference by taking the first step, but it’s up to us to walk the rest of the journey. And our strongest source of faith, hope and determination was in God. A lot of us have forgotten that through God we were able to upraise from being chained. With prayer we can realize all of our aspirations and let it no longer be a dream or figment of our imagination. So many times we talked about the white man being our enemy when our biggest threat is our own stubbornness. We can rebuild our communities with simple methods that only require commitment and a strong sense of belief. Since some people feel more comfortable sharing communicating do to shyness lets use we can use HBCU Connect, Face book and My Space. By doing it this way we can elevate a lot problems since there is no need to worry about being attacked physically by another user. We also save time since chatting online is at an all time high and with you tube as well we can show evidence of how we can start our re-upraising. With the help of many successful black entertainers and entrepreneurs willing and ready to help us it’s only a matter of beginning. Rome wasn’t built in a day so let’s take this step by step. Our strategy for years has been to divide and conquer which has been a failure so let’s turn a rainstorm into an ocean one drop at a time. If all it takes is one touch to make a ripple, then let’s make ripples and expand together. In time we will have expand to all the corners of the world. We have too many hoods and not enough neighbors, but together we can end the words separation and enter a new era with a new community with a stronger social structure.

I see your concerns within our community. I am also a young African-American women and indeed some of the things we inquire are because of ourselves. Your points are very valid and I agree 100%.
