Hello to all!I am researching HBCU's for my daughter. It is still very early in the game; she is in the 10th grade this year. We are selecting 10 schools this year to visit. When she reaches her senior year, I want to narrow it down to 3 or 5 schools. The three majors she is interested in are Forensic Science, Forensic Psychology, and being Pre-Law. We would prefer a school that has all three majors, so if one is less desirable than the one chosen - she could easily change.
I want her to have the HBCU experience that I did not have, so I am providing her with all of the information show she has all of the choices and facts to have a great academic career and college life experience.
I am 34, pursing my MBA online. We are located in Northwest Indiana.
If you know of any of the schools that offer the above three majors, please send me the information. Thanks in advance, I look forward to learning more about HBCU's.
Welcome to the forums!
It's never too early to start searching. I'm not sure of any specific HBCUs that offer those programs, but I would start off by looking at HBCUs in large cities like DC or Atlanta where recruiting for forensic sciences may be stronger because of the need. You may be able to find an HBCU forensic program that partners with a PWI.
Hoooooowever, check out Claflin University (Click Here!)when you get a chance! We're a small liberal arts school in Orangeburg,SC. (It's only right for me to shout out my alma mater!! lol)
Best wishes in your MBA studies!
Thanks I will check out the bigger schools. I was living in Summerville, SC all of last year. I worked in Orangeburg, Barnwell, Colleton and Bamberg County implementing the new election software and equipment.
Thanks for the info.
