A "no homo" disclaimer wouldn't do anything for that song. That was sho nuff like a quiet storm dedication!

How about most Kappa's aren't that loyal to each other anyway. I have heard other Kappa's talk about their line brothers like a dog! I don't know about other Frat's but I know the Kappa's are not that loyal to each other. They will also fool around with their line brothers women too! LOL So all that stuff about brotherly love is a bunch of hogwash! LOL
Thats a fault of the individual and human flaws and not necessarily the fraternity. Nobody and no organization is perfect. However the ideals and principles are. We are clowning in this thread, but real talk I've seen a friend who's a Kappa take a 12 hour drive spur of the moment just to help out one of his line brothers who's father was murdered the night before. If that ain't ain't a display of agape and loyalty I don't know what is. In other words... don't be quick to dismiss an organizations values just because of what u have seen on the surface.

I'm not dismissing the organizations values. All the men in my family are Kappa's and I love my Father. He has integrity and honor and will go out of his way to help EVERYONE and not only Kappa's. I think that people are sometimes deceived when it comes to Greek organizations. People should look to it as what it truly is: "a social club". For someone to go as far to think that their sorority/fraternity members are always going to have their back, is really having deception. As in the world, you will always have enemies. Not everyone will be your friend. The Greek organizations just bring a group of people together that would not have normally been friends with each other. I was telling one of my guy friends who is a Kappa the same thing. He was complaining about one of his line brothers that always down him or degrade him around other people. I asked him, "Would you have normally been friends with this guy if it wasn't because of Kappa?" His response was, "NO!" So really people need to just keep the Greek stuff balanced because some of your worst enemies might be in that same organization you are claiming to be your all in all! It is probably best for people to just hang around the friends they were cool with before they joined a Greek organization. Those people are the REAL friends.

[quote=Soundcheck 1898;270987 Anybody who joins an organization and dismisses as just a fad didn't deserve to part of it from jump. Thats the person's fault, not the organization's... they don't represent me or any other respective organization (by choice) Let me ask you this... If that is an issue... is the problem that these people were strong enough to negatively influence an individual, or that individual values were too weak to begin with to become a positive influence in the formers life, making THEM a better person instead? No, its not dismissing it as a fad. It is just having a reality check and keeping things balanced. Being a part of an Greek organization doesn't pay your bills, if anything it creates bills if you are continuing to pay dues every year. When you become grown you should leave childish things behind. If people want to make a real difference, how about they take the money they pay for Greek dues and put it towards Feed the Children or towards paying your tithes and offerings in a good church that is doing mission work. Churches that are doing mission work out in these Black communities are the ones who are making a positive impact in these communities. (not the Greek's) That is how you keep things balanced in the REAL world. Just see the Greek organizations and Masonic groups for what they truly are and quit exalting it higher than it should be. Also, you mentioned that why couldn't the person be strong enough to change the individual in a positive way. For one thing, the world will suck you in if you aren't careful. Even Paul stated in Galatians, that a little yeast works through the whole batch of dough. Paul also questioned the people he asked them, "You were running a good race, but who cut in on you to disqualify you for the prize?" Being around a little of negative influence can most definitely influence individuals and take them downhill. It is very important to watch your associations because spirits are transferrable and you might find yourself acting like the individuals you are around. Anyway, back on subject of this thread topic. Yeah, the song doesn't sound all that great. Even if a Kappa created it or not, it sounds stupid! LOL Who actually has all that time on their hands to actually write a song? WOW
