i'm not anybody important--i work for somebody that's type official (BET's Cousin Jeff), but i'm looking for bloggers, and up and coming filmmakers of Color to submit content to a new website: MyNationOnline.com.
The site is definitely going to take social activism to the next level for our generation. We have our anchors who've been holding on to the banner rather squeezing the banner of leadership--thank God for them--so we're inching towards developing the next generation--our generation's leaders. And right now, My Nation is looking for the Nation to contribute.
So go get at it. Read through, see if you're feeling it or not. And either way, give us your feedback at submissions@mynationonline.com. Send story ideas as well. if there's something you need to get off of your chest--by all means DO IT at MyNationOnline.com. You can friend the profile on myspace (myspace.com/mynationonline) or on facebook, too (search: MyNation, Washington DC Network).
You can even just friend me, right here on HBCU Connect. ;-) (I'm so whack...i forfeited my HBCU heritage at Howard, and skipped out on the Oaks, too). The newest articles will appear tomorrow, about "Black Male Retention Rates in College", and the "Stop Snitching Campaign" (oohwhee!). Both are sensitive depending what side of the fence you come from. But it may get a little spicy on the site tomorrow. Check us out, though!
