Greetings HBCU Family!Okay, so homecoming is right around the corner and I know that most people are just as excited as I am about it! I can’t wait to go back to my alma mater and see everyone!! But I am curious to find out how excited or not everyone else is. My last homecoming was a lot of fun, but during a concert my shoe came off and I fell in front of a lot of people. Other than that I had a good time! Does anyone have a real good homecoming story/experience to share or bad one? If you do please share it and we might post your story/experience in our “On Campus” magazine. Represent!!
Claflin's Homecoming is November 17th and I am SO looking forward to being back on the yard! I had an "OK" time last year but I'm trying to have a better one this year! Going to the young alumni party, bbqing with the frat, socializing with old schoolmates at the game (Does anybody actually watch the game? lol) and of course the step show!When I was "On Campus" there were plenty of stories to be told! ...none that can and/or will be told in here! lol
My school's homecoming is uhh... October 14 I think. Something of that nature. It's usually pretty hype during that time but its funny because RIGHT before homecoming we have midterms. So after homecoming is over everyone withdraws from school and get their grants. **** which is really really sad. For our homecoming concert, we're supposed to have Huey and Dj Unk and some more people. I know MSVU got J.Holiday this year. I might go to theirs too.
I attend Bowling Green State University.. which is obviously a PWI.
The BSU (Black Student Union) & LSU (Latino Student Union) are collaborating for the FIRST ever Annual Homecoming Formal along with other events during our Homecoming Weekend. Sept 28-30.
Events are still be planned and I think they are going to collab with the NPHC & the GIB (Greek Independent Board- specifically the Gamma's & Beta's "Latino Frat & Sorority).
If you all have any suggestions to make this formal and weekend go hard please let me know!! I'll check back soon!
