Quality is an important aspect in every segment of life. Life can be enhanced by virtue of quality and can be ruined by the very lack of it. It is an aspect which is looked out for by residents and organizations seeking to set up their base at a place. Quality of life of a place is determined by a number of factors which involve the amenities available there, the recreational opportunities offered, the surroundings, cost of living etc.
Quality of Life Coalition is an organization that is dedicated to developing the quality of life of the people of Houston. It is an effort to enhance the lifestyle of the residents of Houston. The organization was founded by Mr. Richard Weekley of the Weekley Development Company. Mr.Weekley is also the CEO and Chairman of the Texas for Lawsuit Reforms. He has been active in community affairs, servicing on the Board of Great Houston Partnership, The Metropolitan YMCA, and the executive committee of the Governor’s Business Council.
The coalition is fully dedicated in its effort towards converting Houston into a better living place. This it chooses to do by addressing the issues faced by Houston. These are the issues concerning the quality of living of Houstonians. The coalition was formed for the implementation of the Quality of Life Agenda. The quality of life agenda promotes the economic development in the Houston area, enhance the quality of life led by its citizens, promote community pride and participation, increasing property values and increasing tourism opportunities.
