In this week's Pulse Report, the streets are buzzing about Lil' Wayne being better than Biggie, Tupac and Jay-Z, Cam'ron breaking his silence, Jim Jones explaining his relationship with 50 Cent, and Kanye West needing a bodyguard. [Editor's Note: the Views Of This Column Do Not Necessarily Reflect Those Of SOHH.com] 1. Lil' Wayne Is The G.O.A.T...Allegedly. Don't shoot the messenger. Remember when Lil' Weasel declared that he was better than Jay-Z earlier this year. It turns out that his opinion is shared by...you've guessed it, Birdman. "Wayne never stopped," Birdman told the Miami Herald. "He take it like a professional; he never stop working and that's why he where he is. And besides that, the li'l n***a supergifted, extra-smart, talented like a mothafu**a. You know it's possible that they can have another Wayne come out, but what he 'bout to do is a miracle for us to see. We was fortunate to grow up on Tupac, but he died young. This sh*t Wayne got bigger than that. Bigger than Tupac, bigger than Biggie and Jay-Z. It's crazy!" Now I've jokingly called Weasel the king of New York in the past, but Baby has obviously fallen on his head. On another note, Weezy confirmed SOHH's suspicions when revealing that "Gossip" isn't directed at 50 Cent. "I recorded that song in 2006," he told MTV. "I don't make records or say anything about people. I don't beef with people. Everybody knows that. ... My words are more important than you. I got kids listening to me. I got grown folk listening to me. I got intelligent people listening to me. I want the words I say to come across [as] important. I want you to relate those words to me, not some guy or some girl. If you hear about me beefing with somebody, you gonna hear about it when I'm in jail." 2. Cam'ron Breaks His Silence. "I shine, I shine, let's get this money Moe!" Indeed! Big ups to Moe. He and Killa **** "Glitter." The Harlemite just may be able to pull this comeback off. Having leaked "Glitter" last week, Killa kept it going this week with "Just Us," a song that samples Journey's "Don't Stop Believing," also known as that song at the end of "The Sopranos'" season finale for all you rock illiterates. On another note, your girl Miss "she's killing it" Info caught up with Cam to conduct the pink panther's first interview in months. The piece reveals Cam's hiatus rationale, label issues, addresses his relationship with Jim Jones and shares his love of HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm. "I still haven't spoken to Jim," Cam told Miss Info. "But Jim ran with me for over 10 years, he worked hard, and I wish him the best of luck. Everybody thinks I'm mad at Jim. Why am I mad? I told people for years that Jimmy was gonna be a star. So it's better on my resume...I wish him the best. The only thing is, him being with 50, I can't really run with that. Hang out with who you want to hang out...but me, I can't really do nothing like that." Meanwhile, anybody confused by Cam's "Public Enemy #1" intro, may want to visit HBO On Demand to catch his drift. "You know my lawyers are Jewish, they be saying [Yenta] all the time," Cam explained. "So then I was watching 'Curb Your Enthusiasm,' and Larry David-I @#*$s with Larry-he called Ted Danson a 'yenta,'" he explained. "Yo, I fell out laughing. That @#!* was crazy. I said, that's exactly what all these folks are doin', gossiping about me. Yentas. That's where the 'Cam'ron is anonymous' came from too. Did you see that episode? That's my @#!*. You have HBO On Demand? It's Episode 52." Magnifique! 3. Jones Explains His Relationship With 50. It turns out that Jones is dropping a mixtape, "Harlem's American Gangster," a day before Cam's. Dame Dash of all people, is hosting the CD. How great would it be if their next LPs dropped on the same day? Sick buzz! Capo also got a chance to touch on his much discussed appearances with Fif earlier this summer during an interview with Angie Martinez on New York's Hot 97. "It's no betrayal or nothing like that," he told Angie. "Me and Fif always had mutual friends and things like that on both sides. We finally got a chance to chop it up and it never had nothing to do with no Cam'ron or nothing like that. He gave me the opportunity to start up some controversy which I love to do in the midst of me having a bidding war. Like I had a bidding war for a little while before I signed to Sony. So when I jumped on the screen with him, it took the whole bidding war to another level for me." Jones 2008! 4. Kanye Needs A Bodyguard. Cause that dude he's rolling with ain't gon' cut it. Nelly and Jay-Z's bodyguards look like they could literally break you in half. Meanwhile, Ye's security looks like an overweight homeboy. Dude from TMZ wasn't even shook when the Louis Vutton Don's bodyguard asked him to stop filming. "This is where I stay all right," Ye screamed at the camera man. "I feel like [it's an] invasion of privacy. I feel like you need to turn this sh*t off, or it's gon' be a problem." [Watch Video Here] Puhlease! What is Kanye going to do? More importantly, what is his bodyguard going to do? I'll tell you what Jay is gonna do...bite Kanye. Jay Camel was spotted sporting one of Kanye's bandana scarves right before appearing on "Late Night With David Letterman" this week. [View Here] On another note, Hov weighed in on Nas' controversial title, Ni**er. Jigga supports God's Son, and says the energy people are investing into the word and the title is a bit "misguided." "He's [Nas] very intelligent," Jay told MTV. "There's reasons behind what he's doing. I know there's gonna be intelligent and there's logical reasons behind it. He's not doing it for the sake of being provocative. Of course we gon' support the art. I hope it's coming from a great place. I believe it's coming from a great place, but I just think it's misguided. Cause people give strength to words, give power to words. If you remove @#*$%@, then it's gonna be jigaboo or porch monkey. The words will keep continuing and then what you gon' do? How many words you gon take out?"
