Good story, but this isnt really news....black women have outnumbered black men in college for quite some time now.
Then they compared African American graduation rates at PWC's to those at HBCU's....thats not a fair comparison at all.
There is only 1 university with more men than women for PWCs or HBCUS, which is Texas A & M. I am assuming this is the case due to its large military student body. It’s amazing how individuals bring up the ratio of men to women at HBCUS. From experience, it seems fairly even at TSU. However, the numbers say that the women out number the men. As an option to college, several men join the military, which should be taken into consideration.
