Atlanta rapper T.I. has been in high demand since his federal weapons plea deal, receiving an onslaught of invitations to speak to kids about staying in school and staying out of trouble, as part of his community service. Now one school has said they'd rather he didn't talk to their students. T.I. was recently denied the opportunity to talk to school kids in his hometown of Atlanta, including Fulton County and CobbCounty. Activist Gerald Rose of the New World Order told local WSB-TV that Cobb officials informed him T.I. is "banned from all Cobb County schools." Cobb County school officials canceled an upcoming appearance by the rapper at Pebblebrook High. A school district spokesman clarified that T.I. hasn't been banned in the county overall, just that with recent gang problems and the death of one student, it's not a good time. Rose's point, exactly. "He needs to come here and bring his message," Rose explained. FultonCounty school officials said T.I. is banned from their schools because of his conviction on the gun charges. As SOHH previously reported, T.I. pleaded guilty to federal weapons possession charges on March 27. He is currently completing at least 1,000 hours of community service related to the plea, speaking to youth groups and schools about the dangers of ****, gangs and ****. Tip is due to be sentenced in one year. [For more on the A-Town scene peep SOHH Atlanta] http://www.sohh.com/articles/article.php/14787
