Br. Jamaal is Looking Between the Lines Posted on 07-02-2008

Whats up HBCU fam! I'm new to the forum. An old school type of brother who likes to keep it real with real people. I'm excited about returning to my alma mater to strive for that ever-elusive post graduate degree. Hopefully through this forum, I can reach out to others and connect with like-minded groups and individuals, (young and old). I've been teaching junior and senior highschool math and science for the past 15 years without certification. By the Grace of God, I managed to teach circles around many who were certified. But that's another story. Although I'm likely to be the oldest brother in the classroom this Fall, I'm looking forward to it. What is rather strange is that when I was a student my professors seemed old to me. When I head to the yard for the football games I see these same professors on campus. Now if I'm old...what does that make them?...I guess there is no substitute for wisdom and experience. Peace & God Bless, Br. Jamaal
