Today, I tried to do a little soul searching
I realized I wasn't being honest to myself
You see, I was trying to out-smart myself
Tried to tell myself, that without you
I wasn't myself
Tried to tell myself, that if it wasn't me & you,
I couldn't be myself
Well quite frankly, it just wasn't working
So today I decided to listen to the side of
my brain that was doing the second-guessing
And I realized that my life shouldn't
Revolve around you!!!
If im feeling sad, it shouldn't be b/c of you!!
If something's bothering me......it shouldn't be you!!
Can't believe I was letting you get to me
So if its true we're not meant to be......
Its ok cause my life doesn't revovle around you
