Hello HBCU! I joined this site so I could get some information and personal opinions on a few schools. Im a Junior in high school and plan to go on a mini college tour this summer, partiuarly in Alabama (home state) and Georgia (Atlanta area). What I need help on is finding a decent place in Atlanta. I find myself interested in either Spelman or Clark Atlanta. Ive googled both of these names as much as possible Ive re-worded them and asked so many questions but I guess I need an up front opinion. Both schools have their pros and cons. I would like to attend Spelman but it seems iffy for the fact that it is an all girls school but alumni and current students swear up and down that Morehouse is right there and you wont notice a difference. And I also heard it was kind of hard to get into so I know I need to keep availible options but I do hear it is nice. I like Clark Atlanta but Ive read it having a decent to good curriculum but its more of a "party school" and its kind of  run down and dangerous. So that has me worried. But I would think that all three schools would get the same safety ratings since theyre on the same street almost. I like both of these schools and I know I can pull a scholorship of some amount from Clark but Im not sure about Spelman.

Also I just recently looked at Georgia State University and they seem to have an interesting curriculum and atmosphere. But its not a HBC (only 30%) black but they have a large student body so I guess that doesnt matter. So I would just like general reveiws in all aspects at these three institutions. And will I be missing out on alot if I dont go to Clark or Spelman ?Or would it not matter since GSU is 6 minutes up the road? (I also mapquested all three locations and theyre dangerously close)
