FEMA prepares the nation for all hazards and manages federal response and recovery efforts following any national incident. FEMA is better able to serve the needs of diverse communities when its leadership and staff reflect the communities it serves.

FEMA is recruiting students from Minority Serving Institutions, such as Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Tribal Colleges and Tribal Universities (TCUs) for the 2024 summer internship program. Students from MSI’s including HBCUs and Tribal Colleges and Universities are encouraged to apply.

The internship program provides students an opportunity to work alongside highly skilled professionals at FEMA, gain hands-on experience, interact with experts and peers and expand their knowledge in a professional work environment. Join our team and use your talent to support Americans in their time of greatest need.
