The USDA Office of Partnerships and Public Engagement (OPPE) will host three webinars to present information and answer questions about the 1890 National Scholars Program. USDA liaisons will present information about the program, eligibility, fields of study and the selection process. The second portion of the webinar will be Q&A.January 22, 2025 @ 6:00 PM Eastern Time
January 29, 2025 @ 1:00 PM Eastern Time
February 19, 2025 @ 6:00 PM Eastern Time
Administered through OPPE, the USDA 1890 National Scholars Program is available to eligible high school seniors entering their freshman year of college as well as rising college sophomores and juniors. The scholarship provides recipients with full tuition, fees, books, room and board. Scholars attend one of the 1890 land-grant universities and pursue degrees in agriculture, food, natural resource sciences, or related academic disciplines. The scholarship may also include work experience at USDA.
