The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and McDonald’s are proud to offer financial assistance to outstanding students attending TMCF’s member schools that include 57 publicly supported historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs), historically Black community colleges (HBCCs), predominantly Black institutions (PBIs), and medical and law schools. Sixty scholars will be selected to receive a need-based scholarship of up to $15,000 for the 2026-2027 academic year. The total eligible scholarship amount will be allocated in two installments: one during the fall 2026 semester and the second during the spring 2027 semester (which can only be applied to verifiable costs associated with average tuition and usual fees).
Eligibility Requirements:
Be enrolled full-time as an undergraduate freshman, sophomore, junior or senior attending an HBCU during the 2026-2027 academic year
Current cumulative grade point average of 2.7 or higher
Must be able to demonstrate leadership abilities
Must be able to demonstrate a financial need
Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551
