I'm attending an HBCU in Atlanta and in my sophomore or junior year I was thinking about pledging....but I'm indecisive...i don't know whether to pledge AKA or Delta...what do you all think?! :?:
Being that u have to ask someone else what u should join my answer is............DRUM ROLL PLEASEEEEEEEEE
NOTHING
thats what the fucc im saying....ok if u have to ask on a public site, to help assist in your desicion then u need to choose neither...go bacc to yo room, and freflect on weather or not your joing for the right reasons or not...u have to decide for yourself...No one told me i should be an Alpha..I knew i Was an Alpha at heart, and i knew thats what i was gonna do
While i didnt have to ask anyone what they thought i should pledge i kinda feel where ya comin from. Pledgin is a important life long commitment that shouldnt be taken lightly. So lets see if my 2 cents can help.......
1. Please dont pledge this or that because your aunt is one or your best friend is one because it will surely come back to haunt you later.Pledge for yourself not to fit in or please others.
2.RESEARCH! Read books or other media on the organizations your interested in. Talk to women who are already in the organization both young and old.Attend diffrent functions of each organization to see what they are all about and how they get things done.
3. Lastly, attend the rushes (unless its a formal rush which means that you should really only go if you know that you want to be in it because they ask for your info up front) because they usually give you great insight about the organization that maybe you wouldnt have learned in your research.
If you do all of this and you still dont know then im sorry to say but greek life isnt for you and maybe you should just stay a member of Me Phi Me
Hope this helped!
