NO EXCUSES : ABSENTEE VOTING: VOTING WHILE IN COLLEGE
Posted on 08-02-2004

As you should know elections are coming up. A lot of college students are unaware that they have to register absentee around election time because they are out of state. I don't know about other counties but in my county you don't send the absentee form before a date in September, i'm not sure which date but call your county election offices for more excuses. Here are some links for different states about absentee voting. *You register absentee under your home state,
NOT
the state of your college. Alabama

The states listed are purely on assumption of where most of you live. If your state wasn't mentioned hit me up and I'll find you a link. Remember that you register under YOUR STATE, not the state of your college. Also if you ain't registered, which is a damn shame  , I'm sure the links will lead you to a way to registered
. This privilege and right to vote is taken for granted by so many of us, but don't forget that our people fought and died for something that seems so simple for us.

Thanks...that will come in handy when we get back to school. You may want to submit the list to SGA or NAACP so that they can reproduce it and pass it out.

Ooops. Forgot about "Chocolate City". Charge it to my brain, not my heart. It's up there now.
