Man this is not how you start off the new year! I've been waiting for my letter to come back from Howard just like everyone else. I called up there and they said I should recieve something by Christmas. Christmas came and when and still nothing. I called up there Friday and the lady talking about some,"well we have your application fee but the rest of your info. isn't in the system." WTF! How can i put everything in the same DAMN envelope but the only thing they can seem to find is the CHECK! Talking about someone should call me by Monday. Knowing damn well aint no work getting done over the weekend. Has this happened to anyone else and if it did what was the outcome. Cuz I am STRESSING.

Okay....First of all, you are experiences one of the first lessons of Howard University (or any HBCU).
*psst* *psst*....Listen very carefully.....YOU MUST BE PATIENT!! I understand how you are very excited about applying to college and want to get accepted to such a prestigous university 8) ....your story is almost very typical of applicants.....but believe me....i've heard worse!!
But like I said, you must be patient!!! You (along w/ ur parents) should call again and verify that 1, they have recieved your application along with your app. fees, 2, ask if you have been accepted yet (sometimes they can tell you over the phone), and then ask if they have sent out a letter. BUT YOU GOTTA NAG NAG NAG NAG NAG THEM. I'm sure that you have gotten accpeted, they just havent sent out the info. Hang in there. If you have any questions....holla at cha boi. 8)

Like she said keep your copies, but sometimes it helps if you call up the other departments too. Whateva admissions or enrollment can't find the registrar's office might have. Almost every office has your info in their system once it's been processed. And personally i hate to nag, but you got to when it comes to dealing with schools and paperwork, just keep calling them till they locate it or work something out with you. It's best if you remember the name of the person you talked to last too, it's harder for them to play you ...But don't worry too much it can all be worked out

Reared against the eastern sky
Proudly there on hilltop high
Stands the A building were all papers go
Where they are then tossed too and fro

Howard is still playing around with me. I finally made it thru to my admissions counsler some lady named Ms. Matlock, she tried to make it seem like it was my fault they misplaced most of my stuff and some other bs. Maybe, she's cool and in my mind cuz im **** im just imagining her attitude or something, but anyway. She located everything except my essay so i just email that to her. She told me to call her back at the end of the week, but when i called back, some automated machine came on talking about, "extension invailid", i know she didnt give me the wrong number (202-806-2711) cuz it was the same number from the first time i talked to her, but DAMN this sh*t is aggravating!
