Twists keep the story alive. However, this story is all about death. And Bel. It's better told first person, mostly because of the sheer weight of the subject. Power.
One day everyone heard God. His voice was like a thunderous roar, so powerful that the earth stopped spinning; and moving. Nothing moved, not even the animals or the wind. Fish, birds, everything stood still at the sound of Him. His voice was like that of a sad old man's, too tired from a day of troubles. He said,
"ALL I SEE IS RED. bLOOD SPILLING FROM FOUNTAINS OF IGNORANCE, GREED, AND STUPIDITY. **** CLAIMING TO UNDERSTAND ME, INTERPRET MY WILL; ALL WILL FINALLY KNOW. ALL WILL KNOW PURPOSE. IT WILL NOT BE A SHADOWED NOTION, REWORDED FOR SHORT LIVED PROFIT FOR PROPHETS. IT WILL NOT BE HTE FALLACY OF WAR. SURMISE NO MORE! I PROCLAIM THESE THINGS TO BE SO:
1. HUNGER NO LONGER EXISTS
2. POVERTY NO LONGER EXISTS
3. DISEASE NO LONGER EXISTS"
The people began to cheer, cry, scream and celebrate. Jubilation was heard aroundhe world, so loud that the noise melted together into one loud din of indecipherable voices. Blind men and women winced into the unmoving sun, or moon depending on where they were. Hospitals and wards emptied into the streets with patients, no matter how ill they used to be. Everyone smiled, except for one man, who, at the time, was sitting on the edge of a bridge. He stared into he torn white clouds; not with defiance, but question. Everyone, man, woman and child heard his voice. Because he spoke.
"Is this heaven?"
This is the story of that man. Bel.
