I plan on applying to Howard ED in the fall of 2005, currently i have a 3.5 GPA, and i played Varsity Lacrosse since Ninth grade, i plan to major in Political Science and/or Marketing with a minor in Portugesse, does anyone know what kind of scholorship i could recieve my SAT was around 1150. i plan on taking the new one because some colleges arent accepting the older SAT scores.. And how is the Marketing program at Howard, and if anyone knows about the Political science or Portugesse program.. thanks

you might catch a tuition scholarship with those scores. Take it again and try to get into the 1200's to be sure.

believe it or not your psat scores could be the most important becuz howard is a national merit school meaning they give out full scholarships to people who qualify as national merit or achievement finalists and they give that based on your psat score u have to be in the top 1600 among black pple to become a semifinalist(you found that out late sept) and u have to fill out an application to become a finalist and once u become a finalist u got a full ride to howard as long as u accepted. well if that dont work out try to get a 1300........

I just missed that legacy scholarship with my ACT score. But do you know if Howard gives out good financial aid? I heard HBCU's dont give out too much financial aid. O yea... we love you too

I was told i was a finalist by my school; however, i haven't recieved anything about that as of yet. that 1300 is going to be impossible to get now since i am taking the New SAT in March, hopefull that one should be a bit eaiser.. thanks for the advice.
