I've signed in under guest for obvious reasons...
but is it true that the Delta's at Hampton are suspended? I ask this because it really affects my reasoning for being here.
Well, one of the main reasons I am here to for Greek life as well. That's if I would have crossed over. If they are suspended and for a great amount of time, then I may need to go else where. So if they are suspended then that might be a factor in me transferring because I have always aspired to be a Delta.
you and a bagillion other people...well the rumor is their line was dropped, but not sure if they are on suspension or whatever...get those papers in to transfer...but whose to say the same thing can't happen at another school...but leave if ya want...i'll keep my opinion to myself ::puts fingers over lips and clicks submit button::

uumm...well...it's not that serious. I was just asking if they were or wasn't. i might that pledge another chapter or just go and do graduate. i was just saying ONE of the factors of me going to college is to pledge and live sorority life(if I would have made it). and again, it's not that serious.

Well, as a Hamptonian also signed on as a "guest" for obvious reasons, Im going to be real with you. You may just need to go ahead and transfer, not because of their suspension (they'll probably be back next year), but because you obviously want to be in the organization for the wrong reasons, and you are going about this whole thing in the wrong way. First of all, would it not make sense for you to get to know a soror in the Gamma Iota chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.? This question about their suspension is a question that you should in some way find out in a discreet manner...no one on this board can answer that question. No one on campus can REALLY answer that question except Dean McMorris, Jon Mangana, the chapter advisor, and the sorors. In other words, dont take hearsay for truth, because there will be a million people telling you what they "HEARD", and most of those stories will vary from one person to the next. The Gamma Iota chapter is pretty tight, and very selective. Get your stuff together if you want to be down...that goes for MOST of the Greek organizations at Hampton University.
Another thing, PLEASE know the principles of the organization. It will not be looked at favorably that you are transferring strictly to pledge. If you are a freshman, you'll more than likely get your chance, and there is so much more to Hampton University than Greek Life...ask any Greek, they'll tell you the same. If you are a sophomore or junior, you obviously didn't make line anyway. Well, I've said enough. Please don't take this personally, and THANK YOU for signing on as a "guest". Good luck in your endeavors!
