I WAS LISTENING TO THE RADIO AND THEY WERE DISUSSION PEOPLE BEING DRATED TO PROFESSSION SPORTS STRAIGHT OUT OF HIGH SCHOOL. PEOPLE HAD A LOT OF INTERESTING COMMENTS ON THIS ISSE.
SOME SAID THAT IT DEPENDS ON THE PERSON'S SOCIAL SATUS WHETHR THEY SHOULD ENTER THE DRAFT FROM HIGH SCHOOL AND OTHERS WAS LKE PEOPLE ONLY SHOULD ENTER THE DRAT IF THEY KNOW FOR SURE THAT THE GOING TO BE MILLIONAIRS.
WHAT DO YALL THINK ABOUT THIS SUBJECT: SHOULD STUDENTS GO STRAIGHT TO THE PROFESSION SPORTS OR PLAY AN DEVELOPE THEIRS SKILLS IN COLLEGE?
AND THE OTHER ISSUE WAS SHOULD COLLEGE ATHLETES BE PAID. SCHOOLS CAN MAKE A LOT OF MONEY FROM THEIR SPORTS AND MOST OF THE TIMES ALL SCHOOLS NEED IS THAT ONE KEY PLAYER THAT STAYS IN THE SPOTLIGHT.
JUST WANT TO KNOW YOUR OPINION ON THESE ISSUES.
Yea my mom always told me that u should have education to fall back on after a career like that but i think while your young go head and go to the pros once u get out you'll the money to put yourself through college if you want to still go. Me personally i would go to college first. But if u go to college n injure yourself you'll have missed your shot! I think that you should seize the opportunity as it comes tomorrow is not promised!
I THINK IT DEPENDS ON THE SITUATION THE PERSON IS IN. SOME STUDENTS ENTER PROFESSIONAL SPORTS TO GET THEMSELF AND THEIR FAMILY OUT OF A BAD SITUATION. IF YO FAMILY DONT HAVE NO MONEY THAN I SEE IT AS A WAY TO SUPPORT THE FAM. AND MAKE THE SITUATION BETTER. OR IF YOU KNOW THAT YOU ARE GUARANTEED MILLIONS LIKE LEBRON JAMES, THEN I SAY YEAH GO AHEAD BECAUSE WHEHER U GET HURT OR NOT YOU IS BANKING AND DONT HAVE NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT.
BUT IF YOU NOT SURE THAT YOU WILL MAKE IT ON THE PROFESSIONAL LEVEL AND UNKNOWN TO THE MEDIA ON A NATIONAL LEVEL THEN GO TO SCHOOL CAUSE THE MONEY ITS NOT GUARANTEED AND THE YOU WILL BE OUTBACK.
it really just depend on the situation. iwould not skip or leave college early unless i was for sure... kevin garnett has a college degree and came straight out of high school to the nba..... I do not believe that players should go straight from high school to the nfl because your body is not ready..
I am a college athlete playing THREE sports and I think athletes should go to college because if u get a career ending injury and have no degree that equals MCDONALDS or something. Plus playing college sports develops ur game and teaches u more than u know. Some of what u need or will gain oly comes from playing in college. Then it depends on ur family situation. If i had Super Duper talent like Sheryl Swoops (Lebron) or something and my family didnt have a lot I would enter the draft to help my family AND during the off season pursue some type of degree.

cosign and I don't think college players should get paid. They do bring in the money and all that but isn't it more about the game than the money? (supposedly) And taht would be giving them a reaason to think they are all that and they wouldn't do as well as without the money.

well my homeboy Dwight Howard made a smart choice....he's projected to be the #1 draft pick in the NBA this year....and he just recently decided to miss college, but he's going to North Carolina to get an education....he said that he's going to skip college basketball, not a college education!!!

if you kno that your gonna be a first round pick go to the league. all first round picks in the NBA and NFL have gaurenteed contracts, so as long as they pass the team physical the money is there. however if your not a first round pick you should consider a year or two of college so you can fine tune your skills.
