Man a lot of those artist are not one hit wonders ..Minnie Ripperton (memory lane) by the way she died of cancer a long time ago. ... Do or Die... Jones Girls... Sugar Hill Gang (Are they Serious?) ... and the list goes on. This list has flaws, but it does list some of my favorite songs.

Sammy Tevin Campbell (he definately wasn't a "one hit" wonder, but he's been on the low for a hot **** minute) Shaggy, the cat that made "It wasn't me" (he's R and B.... ish :-) )

I'm takin' some heat for Minnie Ripperton! Dang! :smt013 If you bear with me, I'll explain the term "one-hit wonder". It means an artist / group which performed exactly one (1) song that was a hit on the Billboard Top-40 Pop (mainstream) chart throughout their career. It doesn't count that they had several hits on other charts, such as the R&B chart. Thus, "Back Down Memory Lane" didn't climb into the mainstream Top-40. I don't mean to "insult" any fan of a particular artist, but I had to narrow down the poll, somehow. :smt102

I picked Samantha Mumba, K.P. & Envyi, Des'ree, Brenda Russell, and one more but I can't remember... Honorable mentions go to Jesse Powell, Peter Gunz, D.O.D., Groove Theory, and Shannon. Great list, but F*CK a "pop" chart! :x... actually, I can only name one Minnie Riperton hit myself ](*,) All I know is that Maya Rudolph (from SNL) is her daughter  interesting...

:smt042 It's funny to see "old" videos and recognize somebody. Paula Abdul danced in Janet Jackson's "Nasty Boys" video before she came out with anything. I'm sure there's more. :smt020

Yeah there really are. Too many to even name. You got Bow Wow when he's like 4 in Snoop Dogg's "Gin N Juice" video, J. Lo in like '92 in Janet Jackson's "That's the way love goes" video, and the list goes on and on.
