Okay yall I wanted to transfer my Jr year to another Hbcu. When I started school in fall "03" my mom said "baby if you don't like it you can always come home or you could transfer". I told her what the deal was I told her that I would stay to finish my freshman year and do my sophmore year and then transfer to build up my credits. Now she is like I don't know if I want you to transfer I gotta think about it and all that. Now she is trying to bribe me by getting me car so that I would stay.
Have yall ever experienced this kind of situation??
yeah gurl, im feeling u i told my dad from the jump that i would transfer myb sophmore yr.....well i decided not to wait that long and transfer after my freshman yr..now he actin like i hadnt wanted to do this...talking bout it aint good to be moving areound........it aint like i am gonna be moving from school to school...who has that kind of money?
for me its not the school......cookman is cool i like the school and the people it just that i never planned to stay here when i first came......i never wanted to graduate from here........though after being here for two semesters i must say i am not as quick to leave as i was a few months ago
With me im from new york so i am use to the city life and able to get around with out a car. The school i am at(Morris College) is straight in the country its like you cant get around if you dont have a car or any mode of transportation around you. But my mom from the jump said If i dont like it i could transfer now she holding back and everything.
Well i haven't graduate yet(Highskooler) but my mom tryed that bribe ish wit me talkin bout, " if u stay here i'll give a car n help wit whatever u need" needless to say she workin on my nerves NOW n i can't take stayin within an hours drive away from her. So that's why i'm goin 2 H-Town at least that's a 2 hour drive! :wink:
