Understanding a human is as easy as listening. A common problem with the generalists of this age is that they, like the ones before them, think that there is some large mystery to understanding. Men and Women are but animals ruled by a series of on and off switches and, hopefully, guided by sense and sometimes religion.
With that said, all points of simplicity and complexity start from, everybody at once, Differences and Similarities. Coming into any conversation or relationship with preconceptions is always a no, so clearing ones mind before even beginning to fathom another person Helps.
Wants and needs are subjective, but being good is easy. Be Good. Once you know what has to be done or what needs to be avoided, what they are all about religiously and ethically, then you can better mesh yourself into....their...self...
Notice I didnt say man or woman...Its because, USUALLY, Men arent ruled by their emotions. It makes us pragmatic to what we want, so alot of what we do is for whats best (whatever that means, good or bad). I eat when hungry, not when im sad. *shrug* Generalization or not, you can and will notice, as my anatomy and physiology teacher said, the chemical difference in choice.

The idea is that humans are constructs of simple mechanisms. This turns that, that turns that. In a sense, it makes them simply understandable, but on a broader scale it looks much more complex.
Im trying to get people to understand that something isnt complex until you make it that way. As is anything in life, including Men and Women. Complete and rational thought is the key.

i think us men are simple...especially compared to women...we know exactly what we want and go after what we want...and on top of that women know exactly what we want and mostly why we go after what we want...we know exactly what we're doing and why we're doing it and can explain to you why we do it ....
and anything they don't understand about us, we can sit down and explain it to them and it will all make sense....there's no "there's a method to my madness" bullcrap that you get with women....

Essentially, what you're describing is an example of chaos theory. While each variable is simple to the extreme of being an on/off, 1/0, +/-, the sheer amount of variables causes the system as a whole to be too complex to comprehend. Scientists will never fully understand the weather, because it would be like trying to understand every single molecule of air.

Exactly.
So instead of trying to understand all men or women, deal with the one you got or just met. Even then you can still simplify that person and their problems (not to call someone simple, but everything we are is a product of something else, youre not That original). Patience and wisdom.
