Supreme Court Judge to Retire

here's the link: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8430976/ Interesting. Bush can start packing Supreme Court. If he appoints another conservative, some key issues (ie. ****) might be seriously in jeopardy.

^^^ doesnt matter. The Supreme Court been predominantly republican anyways. They been suspecting for Sandra Day O Connor or the judge who has some disase to announce their retirement soon.

^^^Republican doesn't always equal ultra-conservative. This will be Bush's first chance to "appoint" a Supreme Court judge. And with the other judge who was expected to retire (before O'Connor was supposed to), he may have 2 chances. O'Connor was the swing voter. She helped the court from being too conservative in their decision-making. If he gets to appoint 2 conservatives, that's a major shift in the court's policy making.
