Ok, excuse me for digressing... but am I the only one who thought that the Miss Black and Gold Pageant was a stepping stone for girls that wanted to do AKA? I've never heard of an established sorority member entering that pageant. It makes me think of a Delta doing Alpha Sweets or something

Girl, u need to get out more
Alot of girls do end up doin AKA after the miss Black n Gold but that doesnt mean anything. If im not mistaken, i think one of the Deltas off of here was Miss Phi Beta Sigma and then she did DST. And then to answer ur other comment, I have a soror was asking for frat and sorors to sponsor her for the Miss Black N Gold pageant because she wanted to run. A chapter Soror of mine will be running in the fall i believe and she is going to run for Miss Cover Girl in the Spring

^^^Truth, I was Miss PBS and pledged Delta during my reign. One of my LSs was in the Miss Black and Gold Pageant and won Miss Delta Gamma. If a winner is not already affiliated with a BGLO then, naturally, she may choose to try AKA (if of course her heart and mind wasn't already made up ) because she may feel a bond with the Alphas and be exposed to the whole Pham thing. Anyway, I digress from the subject at hand. I like all of our songs. What you hear at the pageants is probably not the Hymn but the Sweetheart Song.
