Africa: A Continent Plagued by Conflicts Posted on 07-13-2005

Anybody who has seen Hotel Rwanda and has paid attention to the various atrocities going on in Africa must be in disbelief that the United States has barely bothered to help. Women in the Democratic Republic of the Congo are being gang **** in front of their husbands and children. In some cases the children are even forced to **** their own mother. This is partly due to the conflicts going on between the Hutu tribes that were forced out of Rwanda and the rebel forces that were assembled to fight them. And of course there was the **** in Rwanda. Women are being castrated. Somehow we can go into Iraq for no reason but we ignore these problems. Hopefully the G8 summit conference will help the solve these problems.

When i find out I want to help...

From what I hear, the problems have been going on over there for quite sometime, and until Hotel Rowanda (and an HBO equivalent) landed on the big screen, the public wasn't even in the know. There will be no discussion of this at the G8 summit for one reason and one reason alone.......there is no benefit in helping to put an end to this ****. The G8 (what a pompus name) countries don't just help other countries out of sheer kindness. Unless these autrocities begin to affect the **** or diamond exports from Africa (or there is a massive American outcry to have our government intervene....which is unlikely), then our government will not get involved.

Plus, the people being affected in Africa are black, not white or Asian, so therefore you can rest assured that they will not receive any help

They are happy we are killing ourselves off...Buy books dealing with whats goin over there and why these things are happening in Africa, from a historical standpont...me and my coworker were JUST talkin about this this morning. hmm (excuse me if any of my info gets mixed up), accordin 2 the movie...the Tutsi minority was put into power by i believe the Dutch...they were the chosen people of Rwanda...for lack of a better sayin..and they basically took that power and ran...misused it and everything...they were like that black **** overseer that **** would have..who would rat on anybody juss 2 get in good w/ ****...and afta a while the Hutu were like F dis..and decided 2 basically annihilate the whole "Tutsi tribe"...crazy..cuz not all Tutsi's were evil like that...and there were alot of people who were half and half...so u had families fightin each other...was basically the same people..killin each other.. but the story doesn't surprise me...it saddens me tho..cuz dats how alot of african countries roll...4 real...i haven't heard of one yet with a capable and/or non-corrupt gov't...and if u happen 2 gather around any Africans, they tend to complain bout how it could better and how they wanna go home but things are juss too jacked up..hmm, but unfortunately, most white people wont wanna get up in arms and help Africans...i dont even think most black people will wanna get up in arms to help Africans...so who's left to help the Africans? the Africans? how? when they can't even help themselves at this point in time...smh, lookin bleak.. ok, i'm done rantin..*coff*
