Well, I have to disagree with you on that. I believe that there are a select few who have the physical and mental courage that you need to be in the military. It's one thing I learned being around people who've been in combat and that's this, these people are some of the finest you'll ever meet. Unlike civilians who aren't held to any standards, you have people who choose on their OWN WILL to abide by a moral standard. That was one of my main reasons for deciding to choose a career in the military. I wanted to become a better man. Oh, I am in college. I go to Hampton University. My route in the Marines requires that I have a four year degree.

^^^^...Naaah. Lol. I'm going for an Air contract. Ya boy wants to fly either C-130's or CH-53's. Can't decide right now though. If I don't get an air contract. I think I might just enlist after college, and go for Marine security forces.

why fight and possible DIE for a nation that treats you and your family like second class citizens? why serve a country that does NOT serve you? nevermind the FACT that this nation was built off of OUR hard labor and we had to see those who oppressed us reap all the benefits and you guys are gonna WILLINGLY go die for this nation? can't get with that at all

Like I said, its only a few cut out to serve bra. Those people serve not for any type of reward, but because they don't expect one. They're fighting for an ENTIRE nation. Yup, that's right. Biggits, racists, the whole shabang. Instead of talkin about how crazy those people are, why don't you thank them for their courage, sense of duty, and honor.

Preciate that BrandedBison... but sometimes we as black people gotta do what may not seem right...to keep the few rights we have...all that we the people...was not written with us in mind...so we gotta get in and do what we gotta do to get what is rightfully ours...we didnt ask to come here but we are here...they didnt send us back so we are just as a part of this country as anyone else...so we gotta go fight a white man's war so the black man can be treated just as equal...Think about it...if we didnt fight...its just another reason for them so say Niggers dont do this and niggers don't do that...but there are alot of us giving our lives to go out to keep this **** off our **** and to give us what we righfully deserve!!!

I would be much more comfortable if Bush's two daughters were fighting the war instead of getting **** every ten minutes. I realize that blacks can use this as a stepping stone to gaining ground in equality, but I see it also as doing absolutely nothing in that arena. Meaning that the whites look at us the same way. I see it as once you look at someone one way it is difficult to see them in any other light. You wouldn't see your mom romantically, or your father in that same way, so how can whites see a servant/**** in any other way?
