A day after hinting that he would agree to a trade because of a contract dispute, Owens told the Philadelphia Inquirer he would report to training camp on Aug. 1 at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa. Terrell Owens Wide Receiver Philadelphia Eagles Profile 2004 SEASON STATISTICS Rec Yds TD Avg Long YAC 77 1200 14 15.6 59 404 The controversial wide receiver told the newspaper he remains unhappy with his seven-year, $49 million contract and that he wouldn't mind being traded. "I'll be there," Owens told the Inquirer on Friday. "I mean, the bottom line is that I still believe I deserve a new contract. I still believe I deserve more than what they've given me. But I'm not stupid. I'm not about to miss training camp, get fined every day and give them even more reasons to keep from paying me. "I'll be there but I won't be happy, I can tell you that much. Take from that whatever you want," he said. - From ESPN.com What ya'll think about T.O. and his contract holdout. Do ya'll think he deserve a new contract, or should he just shut up and be happy? Personally I think that all football players, rather all sports athletes, should be content with the money they make. These dudes make millions and millions a year and what do they do? Complain. Please. Seriously though, I think its really too early in the contract to demand a new one. I mean sure he had a nice season last year, but that was just one year. If he didn't like the contract he shoulda never signed the b!tch in the first place. Of course, he could always come to my Falcons if he want....

while i think all athletes who complain that they arent paid enough or even sayin something like they dont have enough to feed their kids (Sprewell) are selfish T.O. kinda had a point. Organizations do cut players or ask them to renegotiate their contracts if they have just one poor season so why shouldnt it work in reverse.

What T.O. doesn't notice first and foremost is that he is getting old and he doesn't exactly have that many more years left being an elite reciever. He also should look at the rest of the Eagles roster and the roster of the New England Patriots. How many people between the two super bowl teams had players being paid MAD money, or should I say, the money that "they deserved". Neither, and THAT is why they were at the spots that they were rather than the Redskins (who had constantly been giving there team facelifts and coughin up major dollas for people like Laverneous Coles, Mark Brunell, and others who obviously couldn't get them into the playoffs). Paying up someone means less flexibilty with the salary cap. The Eagles have a sick team, with sick depth. Not because they pay up when a player "doesn't get what he deserves". Mind you Sheldon Brown and Lito Sheppard were both late first round-second round picks and michael lewis was a 3rd round pick I believe. Out of those 3, two made the pro-bowl. I am yet to see one of them complaining. Or we could look at mr. hugh douglas who didn't take a paycut a couple seasons ago. Back with the eagles and getting paid EVEN less than he would of initially. The same with Jerimiah Trotter. They love the Eagles, and most of all they love winning. They now notice that football is a team sport and it's not about what an individual deserves. Anyway they all eventually get paid a lil extra after they make the playoffs every year.

im no TO's side with this one. The reason why he wants to get paid now is for the exact reason stated above, cuz he aint got too many years left to be in his prime. If he hadnt of produced last season they would wanna restructure his contract and ask him to take some pay cuts here or there. he is one of the 5 best players, not just recievers, in the league, why shouldnt he be gettin paid like it. the guy played in the super bowl, and played well, on a broken league, with tendon damage. and then signed a waiver so if he got hurt the eagles wouldnt have to compensate him. he goes out and plays hard every play of every game, he doesnt take plays off. so shut up and pay the man.

noo sir... hes sick but the eagles have made it to the playoffs without him many a time before. personally i respect him as an athlete, but as a person, hes a character risk- not saying that hes the type to walk off the field before the game is out (****maybe he is), but he runs his mouth entirely too much for me.. and who knows, them coaches prolly dont feel like puttin up wit him no more anyway

Caroilna is my fav team, but the Eagles r my second fav. I say trade T.O. , he is becoming a big distraction to the team. Dont give him the money. He is already gettin 49 mil i think. He is 31 or 32 i cant remember so he doesnt need a new contract he is just being greddy. Led I agree with u, the Eagles have a sick team, even when they let go Bobby Taylor and Troy Vincent, 2 pro bowl corners, they replaced them well with Sheppard and Brown. They just have a WR prob. Mitchell was ego trippin, thank GOD they let him go, T.O. is greedy as hell, and Pinkston drops to many balls 4 me

CURL-UP-LIKE-A-FETUS-WHEN-I-SEE-SOMEBODY-COMIN-TO-LAY-THE- WOOD-ON-ME-Pinkston lol. O yea he would be aight if he didn't punk out in open field so much. That boy got hands but he's a punk. And this wasn't even when he was goin up the middle. The Eagles are cool though, because I gotta feelin Reggie Brown is gone be a star. Most of the top recievers in the league (T.O. included along with Joe horn, eric moulds, anquan boldin) went in the 2nd round and beyond. Reggie Brown just got talent tho. I believe him and, hopefully my boy in Chicago Michael Bradley, break out.
