When an aspirant asks (or calls or whatever) about a membership related question, what do you usually think/say/react?

I hit em with the generic response: Aspirants owe it to themselves to: 1. Preserve your GPA at all costs Stay on top of your classes. PERIOD. Put nothing before them. You are in school for an education and a degree. Get BOTH. Greek Letters are nice but don't pay any bills. 2. Do Community Service Do it now. Do it often. Make it part of your weekly schedule. BGLOs want to see several months of consistent Community Service. Not a whole bunch of hours two or three months before an interest meeting. 3. Be Active On Campus Join some organizations around your campus. Don't JUST be a member be a worker. Become an part of that organzation. In the end it's far better for GLO's to know you for your hard work around campus and your interest, rather than just your interest alone. 4. Preserve Your Reputation College is the time to grow and try new things. Maintain some degree of hometraining while you grow into whomever you are going to be. Being the "Star" of someone's video or fighting with your boys every other week is not going to shine a positive light on you. Remember that in all you do you represent yourself and if you have Greek Aspirations your actions will represent and reflect on that chapter and the organization. If you exhibit behaviors that are fundamentally different than the behaviors exhibited by that organization, Please don't be offended when you get rejected. 5. Show What You Know When It Is Time To Show It I'm sure many of you are frantically scouring sites and researching information on various organizations. There is a time and a place for everything. "Study Sessions" are the time for sharing your knowledge of this information. Not at Rush or the Informational or the Chat and Chew or the Tea or whatever events the organization you are interested in may host. If they have graduated I leave off number one. Then I tell em we can talk further once you can show me a 3.0 or higher GPA and a record of long term community service and involvement.

Its funny because a few days after we crossed a friend of mine called pretending to be a PNM who wanted to "formally express interest". I tried ot hear this poor, baffled girl out my maintaining my cool but I was like "Hun, don't you think this is a bit premature"... because I had literally crossed like 48-72 hours before. And my friend was like "Girl you are too funny and too nice". If an aspirant asks me a simple generic question that could be answered with a little field work it's like, do u want me to do everything for you? If they ask an indepth, personal question it's, why don't I just pin you while I write all this info on a pink sheet for you. I mean, I'm very sarcastic, but of course it this were to happen to me in person, I'd probably be as gracious as could be because that's how I was raised. I suppose "aspirants" figure which members are more laid-back than others and they try to work with them.
