Robertson: U.S. should 'take out' Venezuela's Chavez
Christian broadcaster calls leader 'a terrific danger'
(CNN) -- Conservative Christian broadcaster Pat Robertson has called for the United States to assassinate Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, calling him "a terrific danger" bent on exporting Communism and Islamic extremism across the Americas.
"If he thinks we're trying to assassinate him, I think that we really ought to go ahead and do it," Robertson told viewers on his "The 700 Club" show Monday. "It's a whole lot cheaper than starting a war."
Robertson, a contender for the Republican presidential nomination in 1988, called Chavez "a dangerous enemy to our south, controlling a huge pool of ****, that could hurt us badly."
"We have the ability to take him out, and I think the time has come that we exercise that ability," Robertson said. "We don't need another $200 billion war to get rid of one strong-arm dictator. It's a whole lot easier to have some of the covert operatives do the job and then get it over with."
Robertson accused Chavez, a left-wing populist with close ties to Cuban President Fidel Castro, of trying to make Venezuela "a launching pad for Communist infiltration and Muslim extremism all over the continent."
Robertson insisted he was only calling for prayers for the justices to retire and was not asking his followers to pray for their demise.
In November 2002, Robertson charged that the Muslim holy book, the Quran, incites followers to **** people of other faiths and disputed Bush's characterization of Islam as a religion of peace.
"It's clear from the teachings of the Quran and also from the history of Islam that it's anything but peaceful," Robertson said in a subsequent interview with CNN. "Of course there are peace-loving Muslims. But at the same time, at the core of this religion ... is ****, and it is to subject the unbelievers either to forced conversion or death. That's what it teaches."

So much for Christian consistancy with these phony **** televangelists.6th Commandment; Verse 13: "Thou shalt not ****."
The Hebrew word "ratsach" is translated as "****" in the King James Version, Revised Standard Version, American Standard Version, and some other translations of the Bible. However, it is difficult to apply this in practice. Killing chickens and beef cattle is legal now as it was in biblical times. Nobody today is concerned about pulling vegetables from the garden, even though it kills them. The word "ratsach" is commonly believed to describe the premeditated killing of a human. It requires that the **** be a human being. Many other translations translate "ratsach" as "murder" in this verse.
ok now, he wasn't all like, "WE NEED TO TAKE OUT HUGO CHAVEZ". he said that "hugo chavez is a real threat to american democracy" or some junk like that. part of what he said makes perfect sense to me, though. his point was that, if it ever got to the point where we needed to take out a dictator of a country, it would be a heck of a lot easier hiring a small group of men to take the ONE GUY out, than say, to start a $200 billion dollar war. just think of all the lives that could have been saved if instead of declaring war on iraq (or wherever the hell we are now), we just got some people to go over and assasinate him.

That's exactly what he said. Check out the quote in the article, "We have the ability to take him out, and I think the time has come that we exercise that ability," Robertson said. "We don't need another $200 billion war to get rid of one strong-arm dictator. It's a whole lot easier to have some of the covert operatives do the job and then get it over with."
The point is as a Christian, especially as a Christiam minister, he shouldn't be talking about killing anybody.
I mean what kind of dumb crap is that anyway? I don't agree with you, so I want you ****. That's not even cool.
As far as Iraq are you saying, that everything would have been fine if we would have assinated Saddam Hussein off the bat? Well guess what? They tried that, and it didn't work. The first thing that we did is send some cruise missiles into a compound where we thought he was, and it turns out he wasn't even close. If even we had **** Saddam it wouldn't have matter. Cause guess what? We have him now, and if anything that's making the insurgents kick our **** even more.
The crazying thing is that this is a "Christian" preacher telling the people that a man needs to be ****. He is not God and he is not setting an example for God's people. [-X

That's because he's not looking out for Gods people! He's looking out for the bigoted people!
"They're brown. They're not Amurikkkan. **** em."

Venezuela Slams Robertson Over Remarks

CARACAS, Venezuela - Venezuela's vice president accused religious broadcaster Pat Robertson on Tuesday of making "****statements" by suggesting that American agents assassinate President Hugo Chavez.
On Monday, Robertson said on the Christian Broadcast Network's "The 700 Club": "We have the ability to take him out, and I think the time has come that we exercise that ability."
"We don't need another $200 billion war to get rid of one, you know, strong-arm dictator," he continued. "It's a whole lot easier to have some of the covert operatives do the job and then get it over with."
Vice President Jose Vicente Rangel said Venezuela was studying its legal options, adding that how Washington responds to Robertson's comments would put its anti-**** policy to the test.
"The ball is in the U.S. court, after this criminal statement by a citizen of that country," Rangel told reporters. "It's huge hypocrisy to maintain this discourse against **** and at the same time, in the heart of that country, there are entirely ****statements like those."
The U.S. government distanced itself from Robertson's comments.
Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld, appearing at a Pentagon news conference, said when asked: "Our department doesn't do that kind of thing. It's against the law. He's a private citizen. Private citizens say all kinds of things all the time."
State Department spokesman Sean McCormack called Robertson's remarks "inappropriate."
"This is not the policy of the United States government. We do not share his views," McCormack said.
There was no immediate comment from Chavez, who was winding up an official visit to Cuba on Tuesday. Scores of journalists awaited Chavez at the airport, where he was to board a plane for a trip to Jamaica to discuss a Venezuela initiative to supply petroleum to Caribbean countries under favorable financial terms.
Chavez has emerged as one of the most outspoken critics of President Bush, accusing the United States of conspiring to topple his government and possibly backing plots to assassinate him. U.S. officials have called the accusations ridiculous.
"You know, I don't know about this doctrine of assassination, but if he thinks we're trying to assassinate him, I think that we really ought to go ahead and do it," Robertson said. "It's a whole lot cheaper than starting a war ... and I don't think any **** shipments will stop."
Rangel called Robertson "a man who seems to have quite a bit of influence in that country," adding sarcastically that his words were "very Christian."
The comments "reveal that religious fundamentalism is one of the great problems facing humanity in these times," Rangel said.
Robertson's remarks appear likely to further stoke tensions between Washington and Caracas. Chavez has repeatedly claimed that American officials are plotting to oust or **** him — charges U.S. officials have denied.
The United States is the top buyer of Venezuelan crude, but Chavez has made it clear he wants to decrease the country's dependence on the U.S. market by finding other buyers.
Chavez has survived a brief 2002 coup, a devastating two-month strike that ended in early 2003 and recall referendum in 2004. The former army paratroop commander, a close ally of Cuban leader Fidel Castro, is up for re-election next year, and polls suggest he is the favorite.
You'll see Pat Robertson in an Al Queada training video as one of the infedels America is known for breeding. His comments only helps extremism in Islam.
