They got a long way to go though. You still can't create groups outside of your school. Plus they still haven't gotten around to making it so that everyone can get on facebook that is in school. You just outta luck if you don't have a school email address or your school isn't listed. And they also need to make a way so alumni can get up in the mix.

I don't see a problem with most of the things that you just said. It is a network for people 1. in the same schools, but also college period. The school e-mail address is just a way to verify that people are actually students at said school. As far as the groups, I don't see anything wrong with it being only for your school. It is a way for you to meet your peers and find things that you have in common with people at your school. Oh and I thought alumni can be apart of it. My friend who graduated from Dartmouth is on there.
As far as the new look, it's nice, but I am havin a few probs tryin to navigate through it.

But what if you don't have a school email address is the thing. There are other ways to verify that I go to a certain school. Plus my thing is what about the alumni. Not every school lets alumni keep their email addresses. So some students are still being excluded, ya know? But most people around here wouldn't notice it because the majority of people here are just getting to college, whereas I've been done with college since December 2003.
And as far as the groups only being with your school, that's all well and fine for most schools. But I went to Morehouse, as you know that's part of the AUC. So I'm saying it's stupid that I can't create a group for students from Morehouse, Spelman, and Clark-Atlanta. We'tre all two seconds apart, you know. You should be able to have groups how you want them. If you only want people from your school, only invite people from your school to join, but if you want your group to be open to more people you should have that option too...
The navigation is weird though. One second I'll be doing a search, and then the next second I get kicked back out to the login page.
