They have more people at hte stores and banks down there than people getting people out of houses and stuff. They are afraid of losing money they say. I mean, when most of the stuff is damaged, why waste your money trying to buy it? Noone is going to the stores anymore!!! IT isnt like they can actually go to the banks, get money out, drive to the stores, get what they want and wait in line to get checked out! I swear, people worry about the WRONG things...
Now, people who are in the superdome can't get out for a while because someone shot at the national guard that was trying to get people out to get to the buses...I mean, if your whole organization is suppose to "protect" the country, why are u backing away from guns and fights and etc etc?? Whats your whole purpose???
Why are they so focused on JUST the people in the superdome? ITs 1000s of people still in their homes, waiting for people to come and help them. They got people dying from heatstoke and dehydration in the streets. No water, old people dying and leaving letters in their hands, people need medication its just horrible. People are mad for a reason. They need to stop lookiing at the looters THEY NEED HELP!!!!!! :smt089
Girl i know what you mean. I hate when people act ignorant to situations like this. I all i can do is pray hard for the people and send some food through this relief drive and hope it gets their ASAP. Im here crying and i feel so bad but as long as I know I can help in a small way, I will try

You cant sell them because people have NO MONEY to buy them with and they're probably fricked up anyway. That is the LEAST important thing going right now...they're focusing on that and not on the number of full term pregnant women walking around who dont have anything to eat or cant go to a hospital..not the children who are thirsty and overheated not the **** ppl laying out in the open nor the elderly who ARE dying..this is ridiculous..it really shows where some of Americas priorities are..Just like this guy in N.O said..you can drop food dwn to **** but you cant do it for your own people

yes its very sad. I'm gonna go help at our local center were alot of people fled to from the coast and new orleans. I just feel so bad. Do me a favor and like pray for my boyfriend's family girl cause i dont want anything to happy to them or anyone for that matter. ITs just a hurtful thing looking at it. I can't stand to even watch the news anymore girl or go to yahoo or msn or any kinda search engine like that. Thats all they talk about on there and it makes me cry man....
I am watchin the news now...this is a complete MESS!! And i jus saw the lady say-if they can send food and water thru aircraft in ****, why cant they do that in America. I cant believe this-how nonchalant the authorities are actin about all this. I saw a picture of a soldier-in a truck-DRIVE by a woman in a wheelchair-slumped over-literally DYING from the lack of food and water..and a woman was callin to the soldier for help. Im watchin the people at the convention center-the **** people...the reporter said 2 babies died from dehydration. It really is heartbreaking to see this....those people have nothing-probably nothing to begin with or they would have left...and the government tells them to go to a place and leave them there-basically to die. This angers me so much. Imma pray for yall with friends and family memebers in NO and do what i can to help them.

It makes me want to cry, I mean I am actually crying right now. The world is basically getting real bad and sad. People are just dying there. You've already lost what you had, there arent any records of things so people can't even get paid anyway, and you are basically watching people around you die. I mean, I know i couldnt take it. I feel bad and its not even happening to me. I feel bad for my boyfriend because he's worried about his granny, his aunts and uncles and cousins that stay down there. I'm breakin down because thats close to home. Those were basically some of the family members he cared about most. I just try not to think so negative that something happened to them. I just want the best to happen, which means that actually GOT out of new orleans and they are okay where ever they are and I hope they hear from them soon man... Its just sad. I'm going shopping tomorrow and buy like razors, tooth brushes, soap, towels u know the basic needs of people and I wanna invite different familes to my house for dinner. We actaully own houses and stuff around here and I wanna put families in our houses.

6.deodorant
7.diapers (all sizes)
8.Non Pershable food items
9. Water (and other non pershable drinks)
10. First Aid Items
11. Clothing (all sizes)
12. Shoes
13. Tampons/pads
I'm going shopping for some more of these things tomorrow cause we have ALOT od diapers at my house cuase of my niece and she's in pullups now so they can get those. I have alot of clothes and shoes that I dont even wear anymore. Basically in all sizes, I have shoes I dont wear anymore. Of course we have towels and shampoo and soap.
