anyway, if you're good you're good. i know jack about line dancing or any kind of dancing that involves serious effort so i say do what you want. if you're trying to go to an HBCU to prove something to somebody though, that could be a bad idea.
If you're serious about it, know the work it takes - you're going to train like an athlete or a bandsman. If it's something you love, then that's not a bad thing.
You also need to be prepared that not everyone is going to appreciate what you're doing, although most people will. Let those people motivate you to work harder.
I think you should go for it... the experience of traveling and performing with the band is something you'll remember for the rest of your life. Holla!
