Maaan I was watchin Dr. Phill the other day and he was talkin bout this girl who had 175 tank tops, and a whole bunch of debt.....
That really scared me cause i am known to go a lil crazy when it comes to shopping.....but I just love it ! I know i need to stop or the poor house will be waiting for me.
Do any of u ladies have that prob ??
actually, since i've started college, i've become quite cheap. Back in highschool when everything was provided for me, i was a name-brand freak & a shopaholic. But nowadayz, most of the stuff i get is passed down to me from friends or on sale somewhere. Heck, i'll be lucky just to get a meal, so the last thing i'm worried about is a new top
Hee...I wish I could even afford to think about having crazy shopping habits. I rarely shop and when I do it's always for things I need. But still if I spend $100 or more I spaz out like I'mma go broke any second. Truth be told, I'd bed I spend more funny feeding my gut than anything else. ;-)
I have a shopping habit, but it happens in spurts. I'm not to worried tho b/c my mom satisfies my habit. And I just got a Fri and Sat gig sooooooooo that'll be used to supply my habit. But I usually go the smart route with my money.
In my college days I was broke, broke and mo broke!
Gettin' books and tuition together was all I could do. My summer job, as a camp counselor, where I made $100 dollars a month was me doin' "big things" back then (nearly 30 years ago).
In Grad School things got a little better cause I took out a big fat loan for me (mistake). I had a full Fellowship for Grad school but I was tired of being broke and poe. I bought EVERYTHING and spent lots on clubbing, travel and some illegal thangs...
When I got out of Grad School and completed my PhD. I worked for a full year plus to pay off EVERYTHING including my brand new (back then) BMW.
For the past 19 years I have been real on top of every damn dime. Folks still say that I spend tooo much on "sonny" my college son. Between tuition, books, fees, apartment, car, insurance, spending money, Spring Break...Ski Weekend...clothes, tennis shoes, CD's, cell phones, electronics, etc..He is our (my) biggest expense topping well over 50K a year. Maybe I should buy a tank top instead...
Shopping is not what I do. I have acquired so much over the years. Im cool. If I get some Manolo's or Choo's...every blue moon, I pay straight outta pocket for them. I do charge "things" for my son. I just do not tell my husband. He would be furious.
i agree with the other ladies..............i shop as a necssity, granted i have a nice paying job and the income to blow if the mood strikes but after securing tuition, books and other items per semester im usually just saving up for the next one, no time to actually shop, i might induldge myself once every blue moon
I kno if i had the money-i would shop ALL the time. Thank goodness my funds dont allow me too. But i did get $500 for my birthday and spent $300 of it in an weekend. :?

That is so true. I have a part-time job to help pay my credit card bills (all 3 of them.... :o ) and I tell myself not to spend money on things I don't need, and when I do, like on an outfit or something, I feel guilty. Like I should have saved it. I get jelaous when I see my friends or other females buyng stuff like it's nothing but I can't. Oh, well. No one MADE me get these credit cards....
